baum records is a new label, which mainly will concentrate on deep dub techno and minimal techno. the first release is three track ep which are called buchenholz ep by resoe, who is the owner/founder of the label. moorpark is a deep track with fat chords and heavy bass for the dancefloor, which drags inspiration from the berlin heritage of basic channel. tsb is a more minimal track with smooth melodies that floats around in the wet space of reverbs and delays, but the deep chords still finds there way into the track. apart from space is a track of pure laidback mood with heavy dub influence, that just moves around in the spacious environment of plate reverbs and long tape delays.

nice price deal !!! the a side is a killer lp only punk funk anthem from the sessions that spawned the legendary spasticus autisticus. this did appear once on 12 as a very rare uk only promo and now its lovingly remastered for a another go round the mulberry bush. beans in your jeans indeed! we move, possibly the funkiest of the visage tracks and a big cosmic play for baldelli. this piece of classic white boy funk is on a couple of increasingly rare 12s from back in the day but due to lacklustre mastering until now its never really sounded quite as good as it should do.

producer holger behn aka h.o.s.h. is back on stil vor talent with his third release and second 12 inch on oliver koletzkis imprint. his latest two tracks are all about house music, while always keeping a strict eye on the dancefloor. it starts with the tech-house anthem >grünanlage<, the name of a sunday afternoon open air in h.o.s.h.s hometown hamburg that he co-organises. the tune features a great clappy snare and some wonderful balearic guitar melodies, which swing over the fast loop. this tune is going to put a smile on your face wherever you are. on the flip there is >blaupause<, which translates as blueprint and is a dreamy housy pusher that keeps grooving with its synthie-stabs and warm bassline. later in the track h.o.s.h. adds an oldschool piano that pushes the track into another state with its drifting melody. it reminds us of so very many great rave moments. however, h.o.s.h. never gives in to the temptation of drifting off into cheese, stays cool at any given moment and keeps the seal of quality for his music very high. >blaupause< is a wonderful summery teaser that never explodes, but keeps imploding! h.o.s.h. once again does what he does best: delivering two wonderfully melodic tracks that fluctuate perfectly between house and techno. just the way we like it
